Being hit with a car probably doesn't count as a classic Hollywood meet-cute but that's how characters played by Florence Pugh and Andrew Garfield come together in WE LIVE IN TIME. After Pugh's character, a rising-star chef, hits Garfield's salesman, the two develop a surprising connection.
But, as that bruising introduction suggests, WE LIVE IN TIME is no typical romantic drama. The story, which spans a decade, is told in non-linear fashion. A24 will release WE LIVE IN TIME in movie theaters on October 18, 2024.

The trailer for WE LIVE IN TIME demonstrates that the ins and outs of the story are important, but not nearly as important as the energy between Garfield and Pugh. The two have great chemistry together, and their interactions are obviously the core of the movie.
Who's in the Cast of We Live in Time?
Obviously, Andrew Garfield and Florence Pugh lead the cast of WE LIVE IN TIME as Tobias Durand and Almut Brühl. But there's a large cast around them to fill out not only the family they build, but the community around them.
WE LIVE IN TIME also features Adam James, Marama Corlett, Aoife Hinds, Nikhil Parmar, and Heather Craney. Douglas Hodge, Lee Braithwaite, Grace Delaney, Amy Morgan, Niamh Cusack, Lucy Briers, Robert Boulter and Kerry Godliman have roles as well.
We Live in Time Is From the Director of Brooklyn
The 2015 movie BROOKLYN starred Saoirse Ronan as a young woman in the 1950s who must choose between the life she has built in Brooklyn and the lure of her original home in Ireland. It's a beautiful movie featuring one of Ronan's best performances and subtle direction by John Crowley, who also directed Andrew Garfield in his first movie, 2007's BOY A.
Now, Crowley and Garfield reunite for WE LIVE IN TIME. With nearly two decades of additional craft-building for each of them, we're excited to see how they work together again.
