We Talk to Daniel Craig and Rami Malek, the Stars of No Time to Die

It's finally here! After an extra-long wait, the new James Bond movie, NO TIME TO DIE, is opening in theatres. To celebrate, we talked with the entire primary cast, starting with Daniel Craig, and even got a few comments from director Cary Joji Fukanaga.

NO TIME TO DIE begins with Bond retired in Jamaica (where the character's creator, Ian Fleming, lived while writing the original novels) and quickly sees the ex-agent brought back into active service. Reflecting back on the excitement of filming the movie, Daniel Craig recalls shooting some of the big set pieces for the movie.

"There's a scene with me and Jeffrey Wright which is an amazing set that our incredible visual effects genius, Chris Corbould did, which is like a fairground ride." Jeffrey Wright echoes the fascination with doing action and chase scenes with Craig, looking back on their Jamaica experience with great fondness.

"The first scene we shot was driving around Port Antonio," Wright says. "What was really kind of dope about that was the way it was coordinated. Most of the drivers were just local guys on motorcycles or in their various whips — that was good fun! The coordination with the crew and the community was pretty cool."

Meanwhile, Rami Malek, who plays the villain Safin, has praise for one of Bond's new colleagues. "My favorite stunt scenes happened with Lashana Lynch who, as a new 00 inn the film, was so dedicated to the work that she did to become an MI6 agent. I remember her work ethic was just like 'bring it, teach me everything.' She was like a sponge soaking it all up.

Lynch also looks back at that work with pride. "We did that shootout that you see in the trailer for I want to say 2 to 3 weeks of night shoots, finishing every day at like 4am. That was some hard stuff. It really pushed my body and my mind to a point where I thought "oh, this is why I've trained!"
